Stability

I think it is simply beautiful how God uses His true word to speak to us.
I've really been enjoying the promises in Isaiah 33:6.

v5 The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high;
he will fill Zion with justice & righteousness.
v6 He will be the sure foundation for your times,
a rich store of salvation & wisdom & knowledge;
the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.

How reassuring that our STABILITY resides only in our Heavenly Father! Our strong foundation is not found in our job, spouse, hobbies, children, friends, etc. but only in the Lord.

It reminds me of the oldie but goodie traditional hymn.

On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand .
Are you familiar with the words?!

My hope is built on nothing else
than Jesus' love & righteousness.
I dare not trust a sweeter frame
but wholly lean on Jesus' name.

on Christ the Solid Rock I stand.
