Y-U-M-M-Y!

Just wanted to share a delicious recipe that we had today. I promised Jacob a special after school snack today and had the following ready for him when he got home from school.

You will need~
8 oz cream cheese (softened)
1 stick butter (softenened)
1/4 tsp vanilla
*mix those 3 ingredients together

in a seperate bowl combine~
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
2 Tbs Brown sugar

Blend the sugars into the cream cheese mixture. Mix well.

Stir in 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips

You can simply use as a dip or form into a ball. If making a ball coat the outside w/ additional mini-chips.

Serve w/ graham crackers!!

I didn't sleep well last night and thought of a couple ideas for blogs around 2:30 this morning. Wish I had gotten up then and written them b/c now I am so pooped from the lack of sleep that this is all I could do!

I'll try tomorrow!

Excited about Spring?

I am...except for the POLLEN! I LOVE the warmer temperatures but could do without the POLLEN!

We (the boys especially) LOVE going to Longan Elementary School to play and ride bikes. That's where Dadu went to school and it has the BEST playground. It really is a great place to play and for Ben...a good place to learn how to ride his bike. Once he's gained confidence we can all ride on our street and in our neighborhood. He has the "balance" needed and now just needs to master starting and stopping on his own. Jacob loves riding there. It's great to throw the bikes in the van and head over there.

Isaian 40:28-31

The Lord is the everylasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they walk and not be faint.

I am so thankful for these promises especially for times like these. Praise God for the blessing of life, miracles, and His healing. Praise God for the Smith Family and their steadfast faith in Him. They have been on my mind most of the day. So much that Jacob asked me why I kept getting on the computer.

Fresh New Day ~ Brand New Week

Remember this list of GOALS!! Well I just signed me and my JM up for this. (scroll down to the Innsbrook Autism 5K) We gotta get our out of shape bodies ready! Just watching the 10K this past weekend was motivation for me to participate in a 5K! We have about 6 weeks to get ready.

So...had a little mid-morning mini date w/

And pretty soon we (Ben & me) are off to have a lunchdate w/ Jacob. Then we will continue our typical Monday errands.

Still praying for Angie and family today. They are heavily on my heart. Her post last night was so uplifting, amazing, tender, real, and truly honoring & blessing our Lord.
