Ribbon, Buttons, Papers, OH MY!

We can now add to the list . . .

LETTERS!!

I should have been packing but instead I created with papers, ribbon, buttons, and letters! While I was crafting I realized I love the alphabet maybe as much as I love ribbon! And I had no idea! :) But I did have FUN!

A few are even ready for Christmas!

stickers, cut outs, metals, etc. But WOWSERS I have A LOT!

I have also enjoyed painting . . . and POLKA DOTS! I'll have pictures of those frames later. I did "borrow" that idea though. A friend found them online and they are a little pricey so I came up with my own. Hopefully we can use them in our new home!

Better get to packing...after I finish my frames first!

a little update

the last few days have been filled with packing, sorting, organizing, throwing away, donating, cleaning and i feel our boys are feeling neglected! so last night we went to outdoor movie night and they enjoyed the bee movie. i quite honestly thought it was pretty silly but they had fun! today we still need to do some packing stuff...mainly my stuff at the preschool that i need to bring home. maybe we will only do that and then turn our attention back on the boys. we do need to get our cow costumes ready for friday! maybe we will even go to the library for one last visit.

i have also been doing some fun activities with the book flat stanley with them too. if you aren't familiar w/ the book its about a boy, stanley, whose bulletin board falls on him in his sleep and flattens him. he soon realizes that he can be put in an envelope and mailed to visit friends. therefore we have put some flat stanleys in envelope to visit our friends in carolina, texas, georgia, pa, florida, ny...hmmm...am i forgetting anywhere? he can also be a kite for his brother to fly so today i think we will make kites.

we are off to roanoke again friday...i hope anyway. we are hoping to see some more homes. we are still searching and praying for "pleasant places".

mmmm

You should definitely make these!! I got this recipe in a class cookbook that a mom put together for me of favorite recipes of the children in my class. This one is a HIT!

Rolo Cookies

2 1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup unsweet cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1 C sugar
48 rolos
1 C brown sugar
1 C margarine softened
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs

Combine sugars, margarine, vanilla, and eggs. Add in flour, cocoa, and baking soda. Roll into balls w/ a rolo in the middle. Roll in powdered sugar. (I omitted this the first time and then tonight sprinkled patriotic nonpereils) Place an inch or so apart and bake at 375. The cookies are done when they start to "crack". Let cool a bit before taking them off the baking sheet. The melted rolo will make them fall apart if they are too hot.

ENJOY!

oh and wish i had pics to show you but i left our camera in our realtors car in roanoke...UGG!
